KWID has focused its efforts on empowering women, girls, and other vulnerable persons to exercise their rights, actively participate in decision-making processes, advocate and demand improved services.
Livelihood & Community Empowerment
In 2013, KWID micro-finance was started and over the years it has grown to cumulative savings of 15 million Uganda shillings.
Education
We have organized dialogue meetings on education rights to improve the capacity of schools & community structures in providing for children to access education levels.
Health
Contribution to the fight against HIV/AIDS pandemic in Uganda has been a priority for KWID over the years and a number of successes have been registered.
Gender & Human Rights
Access to legal services for vulnerable children & women has improved over years in partnership with FIDA Uganda. KWID supported vulnerable persons to access lawyers.
