Communities Advancing Prevention of HIV (CAPH) Project

With support from the Civil Society Fund (CSF), KWID collaborated with PACE Uganda to implement CAPH Project aimed at strengthening community efforts to reduce the incidence of HIV in Kashambya and Rwamucucu Sub Counties, Rukiga District. The following results were achieved.

  • 15,689 adults (7,433 F & 8,256 M) were reached with Behavior Change Communication messages on HIV prevention through working with Village Health Teams and Peer educators.
  • 6477 adults 4486 females and 1991 males received HIV counseling and testing services
  • 771 males aged 10- 49 years were received Safe Male Circumcision services
  • 245,498 condoms were distributed
